Sheep Mesa Outfitters is a stock outfitter licensed to do business in Yellowstone National Park. We are a second generation, family-owned business in operation since 1955.
Hunting Camp in the High Country
Our hunting camp is located in the Washakie Wilderness Area, within the Shoshone National Forest, the largest national forest in the nation. We hunt from this camp in the months of September and October. The only access to the area is by a four-hour horseback ride. In the late season, when the weather forces us out of the high-country, we operate from a hunting lodge, staying in warm, comfortable cabins. We employ professional guides who know the area and are qualified to hunt and guide for every species that we offer.

Join us in July and August for a summer pack trip to the back country of the Shoshone National Forest or Yellowstone National Park. Enjoy great trout fishing, photography and exploring. Trips are by horseback with groups of family and friends in mind. See and travel through remote areas that the average person never experiences.
