Wapiti, the Indian name for Elk, is abundant in our area. Our Elk hunting is divided into two seasons.
September 1 through September 30 is for Archery only. October 1 through October 21 is the first Rifle season. The September to October hunts are taken from our wilderness tent camp. From here we hunt bull elk during their rutting season. This is a very exciting time to hunt elk, offering the great challenge of bugling a big bull into shooting range. The cow elk hunts begin in mid-November.
